A Fairy Tale Of Berlin
Every kind of camera, like every photographer, has its own take on the world. But the Holga, with its toy-like simplicity, has a particular kind of magic. It can make the ordinary fantastical, and give it the glow and blur of something half-remembered, half-dreamt, something glimpsed from the corner of the eye.
When I first arrived from London, and saw Berlin through the Holga, I began to find images that took me back to the stories and characters of my childhood.
A Fairy Tale of Berlin is a series of archetypes and symbols like those in the imaginary worlds I first read about and inhabited as a child, and which are still visible to me through the lens of the Holga.
